why slower mail?
everything today is built for speed. messages arrive instantly, packages appear overnight. life has been optimised for convenience but convenience often comes at the cost of presence. the art of waiting, anticipating, and appreciating something that took time is slowly disappearing. patience has become a dying craft. slower mail exists to bring that feeling back.
how does it work?
simply sign up before the 20th of the month to receive that month’s letter. after the cut-off, new subscriptions begin with the following month’s mail. each month we prepare and pack every letter by hand, filling it with stories, small treasures, and discoveries from the places we travel & the strangers we meet. all mail is sent by the 25th in a stamped envelope, just like mail used to be. from there, it makes its way to you... something to look forward to, not rush.
when will I receive my mail?
mail is sent by the 25th of each month in a stamped envelope, without tracking. because there is no tracking we can’t predict exactly when it will arrive but that’s part of the fun, as the anticipation is all part of the experience.
estimated delivery times are 1–2 weeks within NZ/AUS and 2–3 weeks internationally. if your mail hasn’t arrived within these timeframes, or if it arrives damaged, please contact us at mailbutslower@gmail.com and we’ll do our best to help.
when will I be billed each month?
slower mail is billed monthly on the same date you signed up. for example, if you join on April 19th, you’ll be billed on the 19th of every following month. you can pause or cancel anytime, just make sure to do so before your next billing date to avoid being charged.
how do I manage my subscription?
you can cancel your slower mail subscription anytime. log into your account in the top right corner with the same details you signed up with, navigate to your subscriptions, and press cancel subscription. alternatively, you can pause your subscription to take a break without losing your spot. can I change / update my address?
you can update your delivery address anytime by logging into your account in the top right corner or emailing us directly at mailbutslower@gmail.com and we’ll make sure your address is updated before your next letter is sent.
